LIV Team Member Jake Sarnoff Takes on the Barracuda Championship
You could say Jake Sarnoff had a solid day at Red Hawk Golf and Resort last month when he won the Sierra Nevada Open, set a course record of 62, and earned himself an exemption into the Barracuda Championship. Sarnoff, who played college golf at Loyola Marymount alongside Liquid I.V. Co-Founder, Brandin Cohen, teed it up today at the Barracuda Championship. This PGA Tournament is held at Montreux Golf and Country Club in Reno, NV with a total purse of $3.3 million. The tourney is host to a number of big name golfers this year such as Padraig Harrington, Davis Love III and his son Dru Love, Retief Goosen, Hunter Mahan, and Angel Cabrera.
Temps are expected to soar into the triple digits during the opening round today. The Jack Nicklaus designed golf course sits up at 5,500 feet, another reason to be concerned about dehydration. Luckily, Jake’s golf bag is packed with Liquid I.V. so staying properly hydrated won’t be a major concern for him. The other players might be in trouble though. Jake is as nice a person as you will find – we are willing to bet that he’ll offer to share his lifesaving hydration with anyone in need.
Jake never travels without Liquid I.V. He uses it on the golf course and on hot days like today he often uses two packets in one round. “Staying hydrated and focused is a key ingredient for playing good golf,” he says, “and Liquid I.V. helps me accomplish that.”
Good luck out there Jake! The rest of the LIV Team is pulling for you to do something special and go low.
