Hydrating Refugees in Uganda
2017 has been an incredible year of growth for Liquid I.V. We have expanded our internal team, launched new product flavors, and grown our retail footprint across the country to more than 20,000 stores. Most importantly in our minds, we have been able to help more people around the world than ever. And none of this would be possible without the loyal support of our customers. So from all of us at Liquid I.V., THANK YOU!
The Liquid I.V. team prepares a shipment that will be distributed by our giving partner.
Our mission of Defeating Dehydration Globally has taken on greater meaning with the addition of new giving partners. In particular, we have joined forces with Feed the Hungry, a non-profit whose mission is to feed those around the world who don't have access to food on a daily basis. 160,000 children around the globe now know what a full life feels like every day because of Feed the Hungry's amazing work. Nicaragua, Honduras, Haiti, Philippines, South Sudan, and Uganda are just a few of the countries touched by Feed the Hungry's work.
We partnered up with Feed the Hungry this year to support them in their mission of helping those who need it most. Our first joint effort is taking place in Uganda where over 1 million women and children have fled to escape the deadly civil war taking place in South Sudan. The refugees living in the Kiryandongo Refugee Settlement get there with little to nothing and with nowhere else to go. Uganda has welcomed these people into their country with open arms and organizations like Feed the Hungry have stepped up to help during this crisis.
Dr. Robert Baluka talks about the impact Liquid I.V. is having in Uganda
Through Feed the Hungry, Liquid I.V. has sent over 15,000 servings of Hydration Multiplier to help the many women and children suffering from dehydration. The Head Clinician, Dr. Robert Baluka, at the Panyodoli Health Center in Uganda has quickly put Liquid I.V.'s Hydration Multiplier to work, giving it to his patients dealing with a number of different health issues that lead them to become dehydrated. He is excited about the benefits of our electrolyte solution because he believes it will greatly reduce the impact on their facility, allowing patients to get back on their feet quicker and helping them stay out of the clinic.
Thank you for your continued support of our mission! Together we will Defeat Dehydration Globally!
